The inaugural edition of the Nigeria International Petroleum Summit (NIPS) was held from the 18th to 22nd of February, 2018 at the International Conference Center (ICC), Abuja. Kaztec Engineering Limited a hundred percent indigenous Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Construction, Commissioning and Management (EPICC-M) Company was one of the participating companies alongside multinationals like Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Chevron, Shell, ExxonMobil, Nigeria LNG Limited, etc. Kaztec’s booth had a lot of people (delegates, exhibitors and visitors) visiting and all with a kin interest to know more about the company, its activities and achievements. Among some of the early visitors was the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Emmanuel Kachikwu and the Secretary-General, Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), HE Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo accompanied by other dignitaries. The Chairman of Kaztec Engineering Limited, Sir Emeka Offor and his staff were at the booth to receive them. The summit themed “An African Petroleum Technology and Business Conference” was to create the platform for the world to meet Nigeria’s oil and gas industry players. It also created a platform for key Nigerian decision makers, government officials and directors of national and international companies, the academia and other relevant stakeholders to meet and exchange ideas. The summit provided Kaztec a unique networking opportunity to share technology, discuss ongoing and future projects, and address issues with experts in their respective fields.
